Luna's Cafe was founded in 2020 by mother and daughter duo, Dianna and Natalia. What began as a dream has turned into a labor of love. After Dianna's great-grandmother passed away in 1999, she left her hand written recipes on index cards for her abuelita, Natalia's mom. Three generation of women who had a love for food and family, and saw just how cooking can bring people together. After running a successful food truck at Streat Food, Dianna and Natalia set out to opening a restaurant in the heart of where it all began, The Mission.
Luna's Cafe opened its doors in 2021 by throwing a small block party for the neighborhood. Dianna and Natalia know firsthand that this would not have been possible without the support of family. Surrounded by family and community, Luna's has become a staple in the neighborhood with plans on expanding all around the Bay Area. We hope to see you seated at our mesa soon!
