A crowded bar show at a DIY punk rock venue. Several people are watching live music, some with drinks in their hand.

Live Music. Cheap Beer.

In a world where people feel they don't belong, like there is nothing and nowhere to go, remember, we've all got each other. From the old union fellow who loves hardcore to the freshly turned 21-year-old punk, our local scene spawns purely from a Do-It-Yourself (DIY) love for rock n' roll. The only exception is that we do not cater to hateful, discriminatory, and disrespectful rhetoric for any of our live music events or anything else (see our Terms & Conditions).

We want all people to feel welcome; in the wise words of Woody Guthrie, “This land is your land, this land is my land.” That same analogy applies when you step foot onto our checkerboard floors and look up at the flyer collages plastered on the walls. This is not just a bar; it is a place to call home.

The idea of this venue presented itself when the owner, Jack Buzzaro, felt isolated in the world. He wanted to give people the opportunity to perform without judgment. With that came the thought of cheap beer and affordable live music. While Jack is often regarded as the founder or owner of Buzzards Bar & Lounge, we are a collective token of our community.

Many venues feature expensive drink prices and outrageous ticket costs. Who wants to pay $50 to go see a cover band? You won't find a lack of originality here; in fact, you'll find quite the opposite. Buzzards Bar & Lounge features members of the local community offering DIY punk rock acts on a weekly basis.

Supporting Our Local Scene

While we are known for our fast-paced, DIY punk rock-oriented live music in Moreken, we are also known for our community involvement. We invite you to explore our opportunities for several of our low-cost practice booths located in the back of our building. These booths are all sound-absorbing and come with the best equipment Moreken Music can find for only $25 a week.

Buzzards also gives back to the community yearly by hosting various events for the LGBTQ+ and otherwise marginalized groups. We present a strong commitment to leading by example. This ideology takes shape regarding our involvement in various non-profit organizations. We want to give back and let you know how strong our commitment is to supporting our local scene!

Sounds great! How do I book a show?

We have implemented an easy-to-use booking form that directly sends over information to our booking agents. This allows us to respond back to you in a timely manner, between one to five business days. If you have any questions and would like to discuss other matters, feel free to contact us by email (contact@buzzards.com ). Remember, while we are known as a source for DIY punk rock, we are open to any original acts. Let's book your performance at our venue and make it a night to remember!
